1. Who operates this site

CivicStake is operated independently, on a best-effort basis, by an individual with no dedicated legal, compliance, or editorial department. There is no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or continued operation of the service.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind. Deal data, ownership information, and amounts shown here are compiled from public filings, regulatory disclosures, and unverified community submissions, and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Do not use this site as the basis for an investment, business, medical, educational, or legal decision — verify independently and consult a qualified professional.

3. No warranty

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CivicStake team is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content — including damages arising from reliance on inaccurate or outdated information, decisions made based on site content, or the conduct of other users.

5. Accounts and submissions

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything done under your account. Deal submissions from users are reviewed by a human before publication, but that review is not a guarantee of accuracy — a submission reflects the submitter's claim, not independently verified fact, until confirmed against a cited source. The CivicStake team may reject, edit, remove, or decline to publish any submission at its sole discretion, for any reason, and may suspend or terminate an account at any time.

6. Content about third parties

This site references real companies, private-equity firms, and transactions using information believed to come from public sources. Inclusion of a company or firm on this site does not imply any wrongdoing. If you believe information about you, or an organization you represent, is inaccurate, outdated, or should be corrected, contact contactcivicstake@gmail.com — every request is reviewed in good faith, though the CivicStake team is under no obligation to remove information that is accurate and drawn from a public source.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use this site to break the law, scrape or bulk-extract data beyond what the published export features allow, impersonate another person or organization, submit false or malicious information, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.

8. Intellectual property

The site's own design, original written content, and code are the CivicStake team's property; all rights reserved except where the source code is separately published under an open license. Data compiled here from public sources remains subject to that source's own terms — if you export or reuse data from this site, you're responsible for your own compliance with the original source's terms.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change at any time. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms; a material change may require you to explicitly re-accept before continuing to use your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Privacy notice

What's collected: Your email address and display name; if you sign in with Google, your Google profile picture and Google account identifier; if you sign up directly, a securely hashed password (the plaintext password is never stored); and any deal information you submit, tied to your account for moderation purposes.
How it's used: To operate your account, to attribute your submissions during moderation, and to contact you about your account if needed. Your personal information is not sold to third parties.
Cookies: Only a session cookie required to keep you signed in — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Data retention and deletion: There is currently no self-serve account-deletion feature. To request deletion of your account or personal data, contact contactcivicstake@gmail.com and it will be handled manually.
